Ella Garvey

Marketing Executive

Ella is Marketing Executive at DotPerformance, though her role is broader than that title typically implies. Most marketing executives develop strategy and plan content. Ella also designs, and works directly within the creative and production process alongside the team

Ella has the kind of visual instinct that is difficult to develop and impossible to manufacture. She understands not just whether something looks right, but why, and that understanding runs through everything she does, from the assets she designs to the eye she keeps on the work as it moves through production.

On the marketing side, she develops social media campaigns and content plans, researching what the best in the industry is doing to ensure the work holds up. She designs and produces branded assets, primarily for social media, working within established brand identities. On the production side, she supports pre-production research, mood boarding, and creative concepting alongside Andy, and keeps shoots and post-production organised. She is client facing throughout, helping communicate briefs and keeping projects moving from first conversation to final delivery.

Ella spent years as a painter, exhibiting large-scale surreal works in London. That background is not incidental to the work she does now. Painting at that level demands an understanding of composition, colour, tone, and how a viewer's eye moves through an image. Those are exactly the instincts she brings to DotPerformance. The medium is different. The eye is the same.

What makes Ella's role different from a typical marketing executive?

Most marketing executives work at arm's length from the creative process. Ella is embedded in it. She is not briefing an external team and waiting for outputs. She is involved in the creative decisions, contributing to the work itself, and close enough to the production process to make sure what gets made actually reflects the strategy behind it.

How does Ella approach a new brief?

She starts with the feeling the work needs to create, then works backwards from there. Before any execution begins, Ella helps build a clear picture of the concept, the visual language, and the direction. That clarity at the start is what makes the production process cleaner and the final output stronger.

What is it like working with Ella as a client?

Clients find her easy to work with and easy to trust. She listens carefully, communicates clearly, and brings a level of creative consideration to every project that gives clients confidence the work is in good hands.
